The story of a woman victim of domestic violence

On Thursday 24th May 2018, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., Massimo Giliberto will led the free workshop:

The story of a woman victim of domestic violence: A psychotherapy conducted with a PCP approach

Originally given at the XXII International Congress on PCP in Montreal, this presentation is a further elaboration of a case of a female victim of domestic violence. It is the exploration of the client-therapist relationship and the story of their experiences in the context of psychotherapy. Using the Personal Construct approach, I intend to investigate how the therapist understands her client and how this understanding channels new experiments in the psychotherapy room and in the life of a woman who repeatedly chose violent partners. It also explores how these new experiences contribute to changing the client’s identity constructs, helping her to change from the role of ‘victim’ and to have her life in her hands.

Massimo Giliberto,Psychologist and Psychotherapist, Director and Teacher of the ICP School of Constructivist Psychotherapy.

The workshop will be held at our School, via Martiri della Libertà 13 – Padova. The admission is free but reservation is required (tel. 0498751669; email scuola@icp-italia.it).

Please note the workshop is only in Italian
