On Wednesday 16th June from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the School of Institute of Constructivist Psychology, via Martiri della Libertà 13 – Padova, Italy Constructivist Talks 2010: the ICP's Students talk about...
Dr Alessia Coccioli will lead the free talk How can a family argument be transformed into a Constructivist dialogue – From Bateson to my mother in search of the other.
A flash-back recalls the episode where I felt more intensely constructivism: a quarrel between my mother and me. A beginning apparently harmless caused a quarrel-encounter after which nothing was like before. Making an effort to become a family anthrpologist, I faced a lot of difficulties that have still consequences in my present life. I tell about a moment in which I experimented Personal Construct Theory in an entheralling and shocking way: this attempt to know the “other” has defined a new knowledge of myself. This journey has just begun but it hasn’t a precise destination. Seeking the “other”, I continue to find myself. The beginning of this trip is a new awareness: the identity is continuously defined by the encounter, the identity is a process.
The admission is free but reservation is required. Please, contact us at +39 049 8751669 or icp.scuola@gmail.com
Please note the talks are only in Italian.
