Massimo Giliberto is Director of the School of Constructivist Psychotherapy of the Institute of Constructivist Psychology (ICP) in Padua - recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education - and applies the constructivist approach to his teaching work with students. He privately practices Psychotherapy and acts as consultant for organizations of the ICP. He is also an Associate Trainer and Supervisor of the Serbian Constructivist Association and is particularly interested in creating a network between European constructivist schools.
Interested in epistemology, he bases his work on the 'love' of the root of knowledge experience and of its ethical implications. In the Psychology of Personal Contructs of G. A. Kelly, he identifies a theoretical approach rigorously based on the awareness of this root. He goes into this with more depth linking it to Bateson's Systems Theory, to Phenomenology and to the Theory of Maturana and Varela. He uses this perspective in clinical work to understand the experience of people in difficulty, and to also comprehend the experience of people who live in "closed institutions" and those who live and work in organisations.
Finally, he is involved in the development of new contexts of learning, experimentation and elaboration amongst which is Outdoor Training, with a specific focus on sailing. His hobbies also include sailing which he does regularly on the North Adriatic Sea.
