Evening of Creative Construing

The idea of "An Evening of Creative Construing" arose a few years ago when it appeared that a surprisingly high number of people involved in Personal Construct Psychology share a secret or open love or even passion for the Arts, and some of them are actually practitioners who paint, do collages, sing, dance, act, write poems or stories, take photographs, weld iron constructions, create wooden statues etc.

This resulted in setting up a network "PCP and the Arts", www.arts-con.net, and led to matching events at several international Personal Construct Psychology conferences where some of the participants contributed actively to “An Evening of Creative Construing”. Therefore, persons planning to attend the International Congress on PCP in Venice are cordially invited to participate in a similar event as a highlight of the meeting.

Welcome party –  Monday, 20th July, at 19:00

(included in conference fee and in accompanying guest fee)
The Welcome party will be held at San Servolo in a beautiful terrace which has a spectacular view of the lagoon overlooking Venice itself. Snacks and wine will be available in what will be a warm and inviting atmosphere.

 

Conference gala dinner – Thursday,  23rd July

€ 65,00 per person
On Thursday evening the dinner will be at the A La Vecia Cavana restaurant, located in the centre of Venice near Fondamenta Nuove, where guests will enter a charming atmosphere and be albe to taste cuisine typical of Venice. The menu is orientated around fish and includes aperitifs, appetisers, first and second courses, side-dishes, a dessert, mineral water, wine, coffee and liqueur.
The price also includes the water taxi transport after the dinner from Fondamenta Nuove to San Servolo. The journey from San Servolo to Fondamenta Nuova can be made by boat line 20 and it is not included.
Special menus are also available for vegetarians, vegans and those on special diets for the same fee but only if advanced notification is given.
To reserve your place at the gala dinner please send an email to congress@icp-italia.it specifying the number of places required and if you have any special menu requirements.
The payment must be made in cash during the registration with Carla (19th and 20th July).

San Servolo Guided tour

€ 3,00 per person
The tour with an English speaking guide lasting one and a half hours and included in the visit is a garden noted for a number of very ancient trees; the Church, over the course of the years this sacred place was transformed many times, both in terms of its structure and its decoration; an Apothecary's shop, which was in 1719 the official medicine supplier of the military and it was even certified by the College of Philosophy and Medicine of Padua; the Library and Mental Hospital Museum, which includes a number of books on medicine and psychiatry and a historical archive.

 

Discover Venice (on foot) Guided tour

€ 18,00 per person
A walk through the centre of Venice with an English speaking guide. The meeting point is at the tourist office in Saint Mark’s square at 15:00.

 

Shadows of Venice

€ 60,00 per person
Venice and its monuments in the evening, with a drink in a typical wine bar and visit to a Venetian palace.
The meeting point is Torre dell'Orologio at 21:30.
